The Feeling Of Emptiness

When filmmaker Mipham Chhowing (22) was six years old, his father, Jurmi (51), decided to return to his home country, Bhutan, indefinitely. At the time, his father decided to leave him a farewell letter written on an old guitar. Through trials and tribulations, Mipham goes on a spiritual journey to reconnect with his father, who has a new family in Australia. As their paths cross and diverge, they grapple with a shared emptiness, striving to mend the invisible thread of Samsara that ties them. In an attempt for their salvation, Mipham burns the guitar in a ceremonial cremation in the holy city of Varanasi, India.
